While chefs are usually the queen bees of the kitchen, the worker bees are just as important to that soufflé. Restaurant kitchen staff is the group responsible for making the chef's job easier, which can mean anything from peeling carrots to sweeping up spilled milk without crying. An excellent opportunity if you're interested in working in a restaurant, you'll definitely need to be able to take directions and manage your time wisely.You'll also need to understand food safety standards to keep the kitchen kosher. You'll be busy and on your feet most of the time, but it's also the best position from which to move up – and the best chance for free samples.
