What this job is about

Lifeguards work to ensure the safety of all aquatic programs (think open swim and water aerobics) within a recreational space. Armed with an endless supply of flip flops and Red Cross first-aid, CPR and lifeguarding certification, lifeguards watch for signs of trouble – and that one kid who always pees in the pool. It's perfect for problem solvers who don't mind a lot of noise and interacting with the public every day. From scanning the pool and enforcing rules to maintaining pool chemicals and keeping detailed records, lifeguards need to be energetic and precise.
