What this job is about
When weary travelers make their way to their destinations, all they want is a soft pillow and someone to tell them that they’re room is ready. As a front desk associate, you get to be the most beloved of all hospitality workers, because you’re the one who hands over the key. Front desk associates are responsible for administrative tasks like checking in guests, tracking room expenses, fielding questions, and eventually, checking them out again. Customer service skills are a must, since you’ll be the first and last face guests see when staying at a property. As the keeper of the gate, you get the opportunity to make someone’s night with fast check-in and the words 'Enjoy your stay.'. Thanks to in-person training from McKinsey Generation, you'll be prepared to excel in hospitality and equipped with the knowledge to move up the rank for a successful career.
