What this job is about

Most people don't like the smell of wet dog, but pet groomers know it's a precursor to a fresh, pretty pup. That's why pet groomers love their job: It's like an extreme makeover every day. Working as part of a team or as an entrepreneur, you'll shampoo, clip hair, trim nails, check for skin issues, give minty bones and whatever else is necessary to take dogs, cats and guinea pigs from sloppy to chic. It requires excellent time management skills and a natural love for animals, so it'd be the ideal job for you if you don't mind getting your hands soapy and your face licked.
